  • Why does C-SMS use more than one server?

Using more than one server allows C-SMS to provide an unmatched coverage for all networks worldwide. If one server doesn't support a certain network, you will find another server that will do so. Also due to the unstable nature of the internet, a server may be inaccessible for some time, in that case you will be able to send your SMS's using another server.

  • What are the servers that C-SMS uses?

Have a look at our Servers page to get more details about this subject.

  • I was using a certain server, but suddenly it stopped working, why?

A server may be out of reach for some time, or it may be overcrowded, so it will be temporarily inaccessible. Sometimes the servers are patched with new data, making C-SMS unable to communicate with the new website, in this case keep an eye on the downloads page to check if a newer version of  C-SMS has been launched to fix this problem.

  • The servers on C-SMS still don't cover a certain network, when will I be able to use C-SMS to send SMS's to that network?

As I've already pointed out, C-SMS does not provide a service itself, instead it uses another server to do its job. So if you know a server or a website that can be used to send SMS's to that network, send me the name of the site and I will try to add it to the list of servers that C-SMS supports.

  • I sent an SMS and C-SMS told me it was sent successfully, but the SMS was never delivered, why?

C-SMS cannot guarantee the delivery of your SMS, it just sends the SMS to the server and retrieves a response from the server. If the server says the SMS was sent, C-SMS tells you the SMS was sent, if not, C-SMS tells you an error occurred. Sometimes the servers are overloaded so it takes some time for your SMS to be dispatched. If the SMS never reaches its destination then the server may not be functioning properly. C-SMS has no way to find that out, it just tells you what the server tells it. If you want to trace the delivery process of your SMS then use the MTNSMS server. Then go to your outbox at MTNSMS to see if the message was delivered or not and if it was delivered MTNSMS will tell you the exact time it was delivered. For more details, check the servers page.

  • C-SMS is very slow when sending SMS, why?

This problem may occur with some servers that have a protection scheme on their sites. In order for C-SMS to break through this protection it has to go through several different steps, which requires more time. If the server is very slow, try another.

  • Why do the SMS's sent by C-SMS take a long time to arrive?

This is not a problem with the C-SMS software itself, it is due to the server you are using to send. The server maybe overloaded so it takes more time to send your SMS. Some servers send SMS's faster to some networks, and slower to other networks. You just have to try them all to find the one that best fits your needs.

  • Can I send SMS in another language other than English?

Yes, C-SMS allows you to send SMS's in Arabic Language. If you need more information about this feature please click here.

  • Can C-SMS send SMS's using the UCS2 standard?

Yes, C-SMS allows you to send SMS's using the UCS2 standard. I have only tried it with Arabic SMS. It works fine. Theoretically, it should also work with other languages such as Turkish, Greek, Chinese, Tai, etc... Since I haven't tested with these languages, I can't be sure if it works or not. If you want to try, then choose the Arabic SMS, and then write the SMS in whatever language you want. If it works, please tell me. For more information click here.

  • Can C-SMS send Flash SMS's to Nokia phones?

Yes, it can. For more information click here.

  • Can C-SMS send ring tones and Logos to Nokia Phones?

No, it can't. Sending ring tones and Logos is a completely different story.
